new music theme

After Music Pro and Live!, I am currently working on a new big Music WordPress Theme!

Here is a non-exhaustive list of the features that will be available:

  • Use of the WordPress Customizer for the styling options (live preview of your modifications)
  • Full Compatibility with WPML & WooCommerce
  • Revolution Slider will be included with custom styling options
  • Will work with the new plugins to come: discography, tour dates, photos albums, video gallery and maybe reviews. The purpose is to install only the features you will need!
  • Will be compatible with all WolfPlugins (obviously)
  • A Child theme template will be included – Need a theme for a client? you will be able to disable theme update notifications, link to the support forum etc…
  • and many more!

If you have a suggestion, feel free to leave a comment below.

That said, if you like Music Pro or Live!, you don’t need to wait. The latest version of these themes are at their best. Stable and reliable.

Cheers

Edit : Flycase is available here!

It will be compatible with WPML as mentionned above ;)
It should be available within november, hopefully in a couple of weeks

Please configure the Tour Dates plugin (with widget) to include (in this order if possible/logical) the following Show Details (related to the Venue):
    Date
    Time
    Venue
    Address
    City
    State
    Zip
    Country
    Phone
    Email
    Website
    Google Map
    Facebook Event Page
    Buy Ticket Link
    Free
    Sold Out
    Cancelled

The old Date, Time, City, Venue wasn’t working as well for me… Date, Time then Venue info (that includes the city) would work better for me.

The widget should have Date, Time, Venue, City and State (if possible).

    Thanks!

Thank you, it helps a lot!
I will definitely put these fields in the show single pages.
But maybe put less infos in the show list page to make things more clear
Like Date, Venue, City/State and buy ticket links; similar to the widget.
      What do you think?

Yes… I agree… less is better in the show list page (what you’ve done with the Live theme is great)… I would add (with the option to keep the field blank):
    Date
    Venue
    City
    State
    Country
    Buy Ticket Link
    Free
    Sold Out
    Cancelled

And I would make it more (than the Live theme) obvious (a show details icon?) to get to the single page from the show list page.

Thanks and I’m looking forward to the new theme!

Oooo! This definitely made my day. :)

1 – More options for each discography page – flexibility on layout.
2 – Global adding of artwork/info for albums instead of with each song.
3 – Automatic updates from within the WP Admin interface.

    Looking forward to it!

      Hi,

      Thanks for the feedback, Amy!

1 – What do you have in mind about the discography options?

2 – About the default artwork option for each playlist, I will definitely add it

3 – About the automatic updates, I will see if I can do something. I heard about a themeforest API/plugin to do that. I will seee if I can implement it in the new theme.

      Cheers

1 – RE: the discography options, maybe more flexibility with the layout if possible? I wonder if things like ‘tracklist’ or social media could be brought in as shortcodes. Not sure. Just sometimes the tracklist to the left was really long.D
2- Maybe a discography page in a grid like the photos or video page?
3 – Having a child theme part of the install so it works well with the parent theme and can add all the updates/customization which won’t disappear with updates.
4- All WP Wolf items included (plugins, etc.)

Haven’t delved into it in a few months, so you might’ve already posted an update to Music Pro. :)

It would be nice to have a feature that would import tour dates from the bandwagon app off of Facebook. Or visa versa that way you only have to enter the data once. Or possibly tie into to all social app sites( MySpace, Last FM, Facebook…..)

I love musicpro very much and was thinking to purchase it. However I have one concern – Is it woocommerce compatible?

If not, I shall wait for your new theme. When will it be available?

    1. BrutalDesign

100% compatible with the latest version of WooCommerce ;)
It should be a available within the next 24/48hrs.

I will drop a comment on this page as sooon as it is available. You can alos follow me on twitter @wp_wolf

Is it possible to customize the content of the homepage with ease? Well, I am asking so because 1) I get tired of a content homepage layout easily and would love to have the flexibility to change it at ease; and 2) I am a noob and thus, have yet to learn how to use the child theme to customize WordPress. For now, I really like your musicpro homepage content layout because it’s clean!

Should be available in the next couple of days. Hopefully tomorrow!
I will keep you update on twitter and on this comment board ;)

Awesome. I have a question about the demo site on themeforrest. When I view the site on my iPad 4 the menu choices are not available as traditional menus? Just the little “3 lines” which activate the menu. Is this by design and can I control this in the theme?

On the pc I do see the traditional menu choices and would like to see these menus on the iPad platform too. Can I control this?

Congratulations on Flycase! I really like it!

One more question on the Flycase demo on themeforrest. When I view on iPad 4 the background image with transparent skin is very large and zoomed in? Is this by design? The transparent skin looks much different on the pc.

    Thanks!

    Hey Drew,

    - You can upload any logo you want and change fonts by any google font in a sec in the customizer and theme options.

    - You can disable the mobile menu with a little tweak or just disable the “responsiveness”

    - You can choose to make your background hard-responsive to suit to any device in the customizer

No worries. This one is my best theme so far. I put a lot of work into it and I really hope it will sell well!

    Cheers

Hi, it would be nice if a player only played part of a track, say 30 seconds 45 0r 60 seconds so that a purchase had to be made to download the full track.
Rather than have to configure demo tracks in addition to full ones.
